This impressive oil has been used since neolithic times since 6000 years ago. The ancient Egyptians used to wrap mummies in linen made from flax. Linseed and flax are members of the same family, Linum usitatissimum. Both plants have been used for thousands of years.

Linseed oil can be used as a drying oil vehicle in paints, lacquers, varnishes, and enamels. Linoleum, oilcloth, oil clothing, tenting, tarpaulins, textiles, patent leather, printing inks, soap (Other Essential oil for Soap), and shoe polish.

EXTRACTION PROCESS (How to Make?):
This oil is obtained by cold pressed method from the seed of Linseed. Raw Linseed oil is also known as Flax-seed oil.

Alluvial Soil is best suited for the growth of flax seeds. Soil should be rich in organic matter for better growth. 3- Use the linseed oil under ventilated conditions.

Keep away from any source of ignition and heat. Empty containers of oil may also risk a fire.

TOXICOLOGICAL INFORMATION:
linseed oil is slightly hazardous in case of direct contact.
